Please consider becoming an activist in The Temple Cleansers; a new grassroots movement of faithful Catholics in the pews. We have chosen to suspend the funds we would normally contribute to our parish and archdiocese and redirect a portion to specific Catholic charities of our choice and hold the remainder in escrow. This is in protest to inaction on the part of the Church hierarchy to address systemic sexual abuse within our beloved Holy Church worldwide. We will renew and/or release our contribution(s) when we feel real action is being taken and significant progress made to protect our most vulnerable. We define “real action and significant progress” using Jesus’ promise to “raise the temple in three days”: Day 1 – Zero Tolerance policy on sex abuse; Day 2 – Reinstitute women deacons in the Church; Day 3 – Establish an option for married priests.

Yesterday NBC4 in Washington DC announced st Mathew cathedral was having a “listening session “
